Ecstasies & Intimacies!
Luke 20:34-38 MSG
“Jesus said, “Marriage is a major preoccupation here, but not there. Those who are included in the resurrection of the dead will no longer be concerned with marriage nor, of course, with death. They will have better things to think about, if you can believe it. All ecstasies and intimacies then will be with God. Even Moses exclaimed about resurrection at the burning bush, saying, ‘God: God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob!’ God isn’t the God of dead men, but of the living. To Him all are alive.””

This verse talks about the life in heaven, how we will not be occupied with marriage since especially in Indian culture its a big deal.
Jesus is speaking from a perspective that He has been there, but He says the great thing out in heaven is that in the presence of God all of our ecstasies and intimacies will be with God, apart from God there is no beauty and joy in life and we have to begin to start practicing this right here on earth.
If you will get this principle right, you will not get addicted to pornography and get happiness from videos or pictures or you will not be worried about buying the latest technology or moving into a plush house, because making that as the reason for your excitement and joy could be misleading.
Can we live a heaven’s standard life right when we are here on this earth? Because when we reach heaven and see Jesus we will be like Him.
Let all your ecstasies and intimacies whether it is of marriage or finances or career, let it be for God, in God, by God, with God and will be directed around God and apart from Him there will be no good thing.
Psalm 16:11 says – You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Let this be our prayer and let Jesus be the center of our life.
