Series: The Do Nots of Praying

Everyone generally is selfish. This selfishness creeps into our prayer life.

It is not wrong to pray for yourself, but also for one another. (James 5:16)

Praying with a selfish ambition does not touch the heart of God or glorify Him.

Selfish ambition will be followed by disorder, chaos and evil of every kind.

Take into consideration and make sure to pray for friends (like Job), city, country, for others so they are blessed.

When Job prayed for his friends, he brought healing for himself and restoration of his family, along with blessings for his friends. (Job 42:10)

When you are focussed on praying for others, know that Jesus will pray for you. The Holy Spirit prays with groaning that you cannot understand. (Romans 8:26)

Seek after His Kingdom (His church, His power, His dominion), all other things will be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)

If you are not able to overcome living in sin, it is mostly due to selfishness. Repentance will lead God in bringing clarity in the chaos and restoration from evil.
