My Heart Weeps

Series: The Book of Isaiah

We have been continuing the book of Isaiah and the having a glimpse of the emotions that are in His heart over His thoughts. The feelings in the heart of God can be heard through the prophets, because their hearts are synchronised with the heart of God.

Jesus did the same, like the scripture says – So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself. He does only what He sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.” (John 5:19)

The prophet Isaiah cries in chapter 15 by mentioning ‘my heart weeps for Moab.’ Moab was an enemy country against Judah for which Isaiah was interceding. The reason his heart wept was because ‘the people fled to Zoar and Eglath-shelishiyah.’ Weeping, they climb the road to Luhith. Their cries of distress can be heard all along the road to Horonaim.

God was speaking by saying there was a man of God whose heart was in sync with God’s, instead of calling judgement, He began weeping and praying due to the distress they were in.

Can we do the same over our nation? We may have enemies that could cause harm. Yet, just the prophet said I am still going to weep for them. Our cries are so powerful in the spirit realm.

God would do great things if we can spend time praying for our enemies and crying for their salvation.

As we do that, the church would have less problems more than having the enemies accused.

Let’s look for reasons to weep by looking into our news feed to find reasons to pray and interceed.

When we pray like Isaiah did, God will use the church to quench the thirst in this generation.
