So often we forget the fact that we have been saved from a really wretched lifestyle and redeemed from a world that was doomed to destruction and that is why we take our lives and salvation so granted and we are not intentional about telling others about the same salvation that we have received and we don’t share Jesus with anybody else.

In Ephesian 5:8, Apostle Paul says we used to be in darkness but since we have become Lord’s people, we are in the light so we need to live our lives in such a way that our light is so visible to everybody else.

If we can just understand the light that God is talking about, it is not external or physical blessing, but it is talking about the presence of God in our life. That is the one thing that sets us apart from our friends, our colleagues, and people of this world who are also in darkness like we once were.

It is not our looks, educational talents and abilities, work capacities and salaries that will appeal to them but what will impress them is the presence of God that lives inside us and that is the light that we are carrying right now.

Apostle Paul is encouraging us to live like people who really belong to the light and who are actually in the light.

It takes intentional efforts to let the light that is inside of us shine, so that other people can see it.
That takes for us to understand who we are, where we belong, how we ought to behave and talk and represent Jesus to people around us. It requires for us to re-train our habits and our way of living.

Are we ready to live today in such a way that is intentional in showing Jesus, His presence and His love and telling people their lives can be filled with the same light that we have?

If yes, then wait and watch how God will turn us into a powerful evangelist to bring hundreds and thousands of people to the feet of the Cross.

May we become a soul winner with every word we speak and with everything that we do.
