O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them.

Sometimes the best worship that comes out of us is not necessarily when we are surrounded by high end equipment or skilled musicians. The most powerful worship to God could be in the midst of the biggest problem we are going through. Acknowledging Him as our God and exalting Him than exalting our problems would become the most powerful worship from us towards God. In this podcast, learn from Isaiah 25:1 on worshiping God regardless of the chaos we are surrounded by.
Who is your God?
Prophet Isaiah affirmed in the midst of catastrophes that the one who he would praise would be his creator alone. Let’s evaluate our life and find out if there is someone else who is taking the place we need to give our Creator. Who do we give the reverence to when we confront various situations in our life? Unknowingly at times it’s possible that we end up giving worship to countless other things than worshiping God. For some it’s their career, for others, it could be an individual, money, power, pain, brokenness or even their past.
Primary focus
We live in a period where societies focus is fixed on becoming successful, and in the pursuit of becoming successful and getting noticed by hundreds. People have made countless things as their primary focus. God is often the last person who is called on, and we barely let God be involved in our life. Today, let’s make God our primary focus, let everything else become secondary. Our choice to do it will make us an altar of quality worship unto God.
Switching off
Quality worship unto God is something that is unadulterated. Unless we switch off from things that is stealing the glory that God deserves, our worship will remain adulterated. Adulterated with the worship that we are giving to our circumstances. Switching off will help us give worship to God that is pure and Holy.
God’s purposes are wonderful
Prophet Isaiah speaks about the “wonderful things.” Ever wondered what those wonderful things are? The wonderful things that Prophet Isaiah is speaking about is two things. One, the judgement of God against Israel. Two, the salvation of God. Anything that has a purpose behind it is wonderful. Blessing is wonderful if it has a purpose behind it, at the same time, pain or suffering is also wonderful if it has a purpose behind it.
Why does God allow pain?
He is a God who wants to see His masterpiece in His likeness. As a potter makes the pot, the pot has to go through agonizing stages such as molding, breaking and baking in the harsh fire. God allows pain in our life to increase our capacity in our patience and to refine our character. He is also a God who chastens because He is a good father to His children! He did this to the Israelites to gain their hearts loyal to God, He can still do the same in our life because He is a loving God and He has the best in store for us.
Your circumstance could be enormous as a giant. Irrespective of what you’re facing, make Him your God today and worship Him in the midst of chaos. Let your mouth honour and praise God. And know that His purposes are wonderful even if they are as fire that refines. God bless you!
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
