Course & Ministry
Acts 20:24 HCSB
“But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.”
There are two things that God has given us.
1 – Course – a life – to finish it
2 – Ministry – how you are going to represent Him in the world around you
We need to focus on both of the above. Some people are so caught with life that they forget the ministry and some are so involved in the ministry that they forget the life that God has entrusted them with.
The way you live your life will glorify God. For example, Job lived his life worshipping God in the midst of his circumstances.
Many of us we delegate our responsibilities to others and that is how we walk into disastrous zones.
So, the question you need to ask is;
– the way you live, pray or respond, does it testify to the gospel of God’s grace?
– and for the ministry – ask God to show you who is your assignment.
May we live our lives so that both the course and the ministry will testify to the gospel of God’s grace.
May we make this as our dream and our testimony.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
