Not Feel Proud

Jan 24, 2020 | Discipleship

Romans 11:25 NLT
I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters, so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ.

The reason why we become proud about ourselves, achievements or positions is because we believe that we own it. We begin to feel entitled and in the scripture, Paul attacks the spirit of entitlement by saying that we are not the reason for our welfare but a result of God’s grace.

Withdrawal of God’s grace from us would cause mere damage to our lives. In the Word of God it is said that, The Lord gives grace to the humble.

If there is any bit of pride within you today of you are the reason for your achievement, it is for you to repent from your wrong belief system. Being in a state of believing your strength and not the grace of God is a blunder.

Paul says, there will be a point when the hard hearts of Israelites are going to melt and receive Jesus and experience God. When this occurs, the entire humanity comes to an end which in turn means Jesus is going to return.

The only reason God is waiting is because to soften the hearts of Jewish people as to have encounter with God.

We are living on borrowed time, we are waiting for Jewish to repent. As soon as they repent, our time would be up to evangelize to the Gentiles.

Once a specific number of Gentiles come to the Lord, even those who have hard heartedness will begin to melt and respond to God’s voice.

Our obedience, acceleration in walking with God, reaching the lost, preaching the gospel and in disciplining nations would bring in the second coming of Jesus. The factors that we are waiting on are,

1. Hard Heartedness of Jewish
2. Specific Number of Gentiles not saved.

If we can focus on reaching out to full number of Gentiles and teaching the Jews to mend their ways and surrender themselves to God. We will experience the second coming of Jesus sooner.

In this season, instead of becoming proud could we pray asking God to help us reach out to the Jews that have hard heartedness and to the full number of Gentiles.

Let us increase our level of humility, responsibility, commitment for the sake of the gospel, Kingdom of God in this season.

The more we humble ourselves is how much more the Lord will manifest us.
