Silence Every Voice

Isaiah 54:17 NLT
But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Series: Promise of Restoration & Protection

Why is it important for us to study this is because the more we understand the desire of God’s protection over us the more we will submit to Him. The reason we don’t do this is because we don’t see that God is on our side. We feel that God is against us, we think that God is trying to harm or punish us.

In Isaiah, God is speaking to the Israelites at a time when they were going through severe storms in life. They were worshipping idols because of which they attracted God’s judgement. Inspite of that God is speaking to them about restoration.

In verse 17, God is not saying that no nations will come to fight you, but He is saying that when they come to fight you it is because they don’t like the blessing and favour that you have on your life.

So many times our worship stops when problems come, is because we think that the problem is coming from God. The moment we see a challenge or difficult situation our thanksgiving evaporates. The reason we do that is because we think that all of this is orchestrated by God Himself. Whereas God says that the nation will come to fight is not because that He has sent them.

We are living under a new covenant where God is not constantly trying to get you to be defeated. However, bible says in Hebrew that God disciplines us, but the way He disciplines is not by putting you under judgement, or curse or by sending problems you way or not by making you sick. The only way God disciplines you is through His Holy Spirit. His Spirit is a teacher, He convicts you.

The bible says that it is through His mercy, kindness and goodness that leads us into repentance not His punishment or judgement. God doesn’t want to do that. Jesus infact came to reveal the heart of the Father. He said that we being evil knows how to give good gifts to your children, how much more your Father in heaven who is much better and more wiser than any human parent is, how much more He would give us good gifts, how much more He would give the Holy Spirit to His children, how much more He would give exactly what we need or want.

We hope that you would really begin to believe that God is good Father. Whatever challenges that comes your way, you will have authority to fight them only when you believe that God has not sent that your way.

That temptation, problem, sickness, problem in your marriage or in your ministry is not from God. Whatever attacks you will go down in defeat and this is the promise of protection and restoration from God.

Pray this:
God, I thank you because every attack on my life, my family, my ministry, my future, my finance is defeated in the name of Jesus. Every weapon formed against me is already defeated and I will come out of this successful. I will come out of this with my head held high, with a praise on my lips, with a blessing, with a restoration and protection that I have never experienced before in Jesus name.

Thank and worship God for this and you will see the defeat of your enemies.
