“A holy man showed up and said, “No, O King—don’t let those northern Israelite soldiers into your army; GOD is not on their side, nor with any of the Ephraimites. Instead, you go by yourself and be strong. God and God only has the power to help or hurt your cause.””

In 2 Chronicles 25:7-8 we see that a man of God came to the king and told him not to let certain people into his army because God was not on their side.
It’s a very natural tendency for us to place people as our role models and our support system and lean on them when we are in dire need. It’s not wrong to take help, but God warns us against leaning on people who are not godly.
Are there any ungodly relationships in your life that stop you from victory? The Bible says if you align yourself with such relationships, you detach yourself from God. Even if they are close to you or you feel obligated to them, do not lean on them and risk your relationship with God.
The Bible says only God has the power to hurt you or help you. Tell God that you don’t want to take the help of anybody who is not His.
Be assured of the fact that God loves you and He will send His people your way. For Jesus, God sent John the Baptist ahead of Him; for Paul, God gave Barnabas; for Moses God added Aaron who would stand by him; for David to build a temple, God put Solomon in his life who brought it to pass.
Don’t worry about not having the right contacts and influences. At the right time God will bring them into your life.
Inspect your contacts and your relationships today. If you feel you depend on people who are not for God, do not rely on them. The Bible says go by yourself and you will be strong. May you walk strong today.
