Pursuit of His Presence (Essentials to Intimacy)

Aug 30, 2018 | Worship

Leviticus 24:3
This is the lampstand that stands in the Tabernacle, in front of the inner curtain that shields the Art of the Covenant. Aaron must keep the lamps burning in the LORD’s presence all night. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation.

Series: Essentials of Intimacy

God has not called us for a superficial relationship, but for a relationship which is deep, real and intimate. Marriage needs intimacy. Intimacy is a place where you know each other completely. This kind of intimacy is necessary in our relationship with GOD. To get into a relationship with HIM, you just need to say yes to HIS sacrifice on the cross; but to be intimate with HIM, there is a price to pay and a distance to travel.

To be intimate with GOD, you need to

1. Actively pursue HIS presence (…Aaron must keep the lamps burning in the LORD’s presence all night)

You should not pursue HIM only when you need HIS help, but all throughout the day and night. You should be constantly running after HIS heart and HIS presence all the time. Wherever you are or whatever you may do all day, keep the lamp burning and constantly pursue HIM.

If you really love JESUS, you will constantly be in pursuit of HIS presence. The more you pursue HIS presence, the more HIS presence will begin to manifest in your life; and the more HIS presence will begin to take over your life. Your life will start being less about you and more about HIM. When you understand this principle of actively pursuing HIS presence, the more intimate you become with JESUS.
