Series: Give Birth to a Revival

This verse is an answer to Mary’s question on how the things the angel Gabriel said would come to pass.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon you and the power of the Most High overshadows you, you will give birth to something that is exclusively of God. Your children, business, marriage, thoughts and ideas – everything will carry a mark of God.

We have relied on our wisdom, education, pastors and leaders for too long. While we must honor them, we cannot rely on anybody like we can on the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit take over all of you. When He controls you, there is nothing that can stop you from experiencing the fullness of what God has prepared for you.

The only thing that can stop you from experiencing the Holy Spirit is your unwillingness to yield to Him. When the Holy Spirit takes control of you, it may not always be comfortable. In Mary’s case, she may have been made fun of, her family may not have believed her and she was at risk of breaking her engagement with her fiancé. Her entire life would come to a standstill just because she said yes to the Holy Spirit.

It may not be easy, but if you make that choice of letting the Holy Spirit control your life, you will never regret it. Whoever the Holy Spirit comes upon, they begin to manifest the character and person of Jesus. You will carry the character of Jesus and anybody who speaks to you or walks into your house will experience the presence of Jesus. That is what revival is all about – Manifesting the presence of Jesus upon this earth.

We pray that you will give in to the Holy Spirit with everything that you are and have. Yield yourself to the power of the Holy Spirit. Let Him take over all of you and may you manifest His physical presence to the people around you.
