Daniel 10:18-19 MSG
“Then this humanlike figure touched me again and gave me strength. He said, ‘Don’t be afraid, friend. Peace. Everything is going to be all right. Take courage. Be strong.’ “Even as he spoke, courage surged up within me. I said, ‘Go ahead, let my master speak. You’ve given me courage.’

Let’s begin this day being thirsty for God and reminding ourselves that we are all ordained by Him to be leaders serving everyone just like Jesus did. Whether it is ministering to students or children that’s what God has called you to do.

The Bible recites a story of a tax collector, Matthew who was so smitten by Jesus that he invited all his fellow mates who had professions shunned by the society to share a meal with Him.

Matthew re-established himself as an influencer who had brought an extensive change to the people he was surrounded by.

We are not qualified to carry God’s work and his people yet irrespective of all that, that is what God sees us doing. The narrative has shifted from our ministry and accolades to the radiant light shed by Jesus which should be the aim first and foremost. However, to put this forward, we need spiritual courage.

We’re often held back in fulfilling the ministry as influencers due to fear. Fear of not being qualified enough or having enough achievements and what not, all to be intimidated by it. It is totally normal to feel this way as even Gideon lacked spiritual courage and so did Moses who kept running away because of fear. But once they receive a divine intervention and God reminds them of who they truly are with or without valour, with or without a stutter, there is just an outpour of supernatural courage.

Even the disciples who walked in step with Jesus, after his ascension, hid themselves; yet that didn’t stop God from revealing Himself through the Holy Spirit filling them with boldness. They went around and testified bearing the risk in mind. Our potential can be manifested only once we have an encounter with God.

The Bible talks about Daniel in prison whilst God had permitted the downfall of Israel and Judah as a result of their disobedience. He fasted and prayed for days as there was an intense anguish captivated in his heart when not so suddenly he witnessed a dream where Jesus showed of what was to come in the future of those nations, he lost his strength and courage.

The world in its present form is passing away especially due to the fall of morality. What once was considered a criminal offense is now commemorated. It is innate for us to be distraught by the news published all around us and see no progressive development whatsoever.

The Bible continues to discuss that this “humanlike figure” encouraged Daniel and touched him enabling him to stand upright still shivering with fear. Then He touched him again and blessed him with peace and spoke courage, Daniel felt it surge within him and was at ease. This features God unveiling his power in our physical aspect as well as our mental aspect.

Yearn for an encounter with God physically and spiritually so as to receive courage from above and not live with fear of where in life you may be. Ask the Holy Spirit to impart that supernatural courage so as to help you stir whirlwinds among His people to display the ultimate glory of God. These are the days of evil and now it’s when you need that impartation more than ever.

Don’t be afraid and allow His peace that transcends your understanding guard your heart and mind.
