Dark & Confused?

by | Dec 17, 2020 | Worship

Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. – Romans 1:21 (NLT)

Transcript:

This is talking about the people that knew who God is, but the problem with them was even after knowing God they wouldn’t worship Him as God. It was just a tradition to them.

When we worship God there has to be a certain level of reverence. If you are not giving Him everything then you are not glorifying Him as God.

Just knowing God as God is not enough, we need to worship Him as God, as He deserves, because He is God.

Giving thanks is just one aspect of worship. Our work, relationships and everything we do in our life needs to glorify Him as God.

The verse says that because the people didn’t worship and give thanks, they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like.

This is such a big problem in the church today. The reason deception exists, and we don’t have a clear revelation of who God is today, is because of our lack of worship and not being thankful and hence we end up defining God with our own logic. And as a result the bible says their minds became dark and confused.

Do you see darkness in your thoughts and confusion in your ability to make decisions?

It may be because you are thinking up your own ideas of who God is due to lack of worship.

May this word transform the way you live today.
