Series: Incense of Prayer
Every prayer has the capacity to change the atmosphere of Heaven. That’s why it’s necessary to pray the right prayer and give prayer prominence in our life. The Lord has promised that He will come and meet us in our area of need as we do so.
In the above verse, we see a command from God to Aaron – to burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning and each evening. Morning and evening represent a change of time, a shift in season from darkness to light and vice versa.
Night seasons are the seasons where you fall prey to your fears and doubts. The challenges you face may be real, but even so, start that season by burning an incense to the Lord. The message is not to pray two times a day – it is to pray at the beginning of everything.
If Jesus is at the center of everything in your life, you would need to pray at least twice a day, not because you’re dependent on Him for a favor, but because your whole life depends on Him. He is the author of your life.
This is what God wants you to experience and walk in – a daily living experience where you are connected to Him, where there is continual incense burning from your heart to Him and His presence fills your life. Everything you do here on earth affects your eternal destiny. Store up treasures in Heaven through your prayers.
May God give you the grace to come to Him to burn incense and acknowledge Him at the beginning of every season in your life.
