Companions & Servants

Greetings in Jesus precious name. Welcome to this brand new morning that God has blessed us with.
Today the Lord is reminding us that your relationships are very important. Especially in a time like this when we are isolated from our families, churches and friends. May I remind you that God wants us to intentionally pursue good relationships? Relationships can either break you or make you and take you to the next level.
In this season, be intentional about your relationships. When we are intentional, we will be serious about pursuing some people and serious about rejecting some people. We are surrounded by so many people who are faithless, who are not loyal. Today, Lord is asking you to pursue faithful people. The psalmist in psalms 101:6 is saying that he will constantly look out for faithful people. And when he finds them, he will become a companion to them, and they will become a companion to me.
Today, God doesn’t want you to be isolated or do life all by yourself. God looked at Adam in the garden of Eden and said it is not good for him to be all alone, and therefore he made a helper or a companion for him. So today, if you can ask God to give you a companion which does not mean you need to get married, it’s about finding or asking Lord to give you people around you who are going to be faithful, who are going to pursue God on a constant basis. Look for that kind of people and begin to make them your companions.
We have to be extremely careful about the people we allow to serve us. Our leaders serve us, our spiritual parents we submit to serve us, they have the ability to invest in my life. The psalmist in Psalms 101: 6 is saying that only those who are above reproach are allowed to serve me. In the new testament, we see how Paul writes to Timothy and leaders in the new testament church and he would say that the elders need to be above reproach. My prayer and hope are that all of us would find a man and a woman to serve us, a man and a woman who are above reproach, someone who God has placed in our lives. My prayer is that today your eyes will see that kind of people around you. Not only do you need people that are your companions, but also people that are going to serve you in this season. Sometimes when we think of people who are serving us, we usually think that they are people who are under us. NO! Jesus said, “I have come to serve.” Jesus was not anybody’s servant and yet He came to serve.
The more we allow the right people into our lives and the more we disallow the wrong people into our lives, the more we will see the fulfilment of everything that God has planned and prepared for us. Share on XSo today, your leaders are not your servants and yet they are here to serve. They are the ones who are appointed and ordained to serve you. Make sure that the leaders that are serving you are the ones who are above reproach. If you chose people who are rolling in mud to serve you, eventually they will start feeding that mud to you, they will start feeding you the pagan tendencies and sinful things into your life.
My prayer and hope are that you will find both these categories of people. May you find friends whom you can be friends with, whom you can be loyal to, who are faithful, whom you can join along to serve God and second is that may you find a mam and a woman who are above reproach so that you can submit to them and allow them to serve you and serve in your life in different aspects. Areas that need help and fixing that you would allow these men and women of God to serve you.
The more we allow the right people into our lives and the more we disallow the wrong people into our lives, the more we will see the fulfilment of everything that God has planned and prepared for us.
Hope that this blesses you. May you have a blessed and beautiful weekend ahead. Will catch up on Monday morning.
