Shrouded in Darkness

Greetings in Jesus precious name!
This is a day we will experience new things from God. This is a day where we want to experience His presence like never. This is a day where we are willing to let our hunger for God and climb another level and dimension where we are refusing to be satisfied where we are. We want to know God more and experience Him better in this season ahead. My hope is that we will never be tired of asking God for an encounter. The more we ask the more we will receive. The more we receive, the more we need to yield to that encounter and to that revelation. Sometimes the revelation will not be the way we wanted. It will not come in the same fashion that it came for our friends or other believers in the church. It may not be the same thing about the person in the Bible that wrote about. But every time we receive a revelation, we become more like Him.
So, we need to yield ourselves to every encounter that God wants to give us. One example is 2 Samuel 22:12, the encounter that David had. He says that God, He shrouded himself (he covered himself in darkness) veiling His approach with dense rain clouds. It is talking about the time when David had an encounter with God. David says when God came, He had covered himself in darkness and He was veiled with dense rain clouds. So He came close. I thought it’s gonna be very rainy and bad weather day and it’s not gonna be a good season ahead. That is what I thought but what I didn’t know is that, it was God who had come but He had covered himself in darkness and veiled with dense rain clouds.
How often we dismiss some dark situations, negative opinions, and people around us. We would just push them out of our lives and think how can God use person like this? How can God ever use this circumstance? How can God ever make something great and good out of this issue. But in this season, we need the eyes like David had. We need the kind of perspective that God wants us to have from heavenly point of view. So that we see the light behind the darkness. So, that we see the presence of God behind the rainy clouds. so that we see more than what meets the eyes. Someone who doesn’t have the spiritual intelligence is scared at the sight of darkness and running for help as soon as he sees dense rain clouds coming. But somebody who has a spiritual vision is rooted and yield himself for the encounters that God wants to give him.
That’s why David wrote “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me”
We must learn to discern the presence of God, the voice of God, the power of God, the wisdom of God, the grace of God in midst of trying negative dark circumstances. When God’s presence is veiled in dense rain clouds, we need to learn to discern and understand his presence within that dark rain clouds, behind that darkness, behind every disgust we need to find and locate the presence of God. That will be our victory and breakthrough point.
When we are able to locate that point of our encounter even in midst of dense rain clouds, like Shadrach Meshach and Abednego when they were in fire Jesus came as a fourth person in that fire. Jesus revealed to them when they were in the fire. Not when they were praying, fasting, worshipping nor when they were in the palace.
Our victory lies in finding God’s presence in the darkest circumstances. Share on XGod is having His way to revealing Himself to you in especially hard and difficult stage or trying challenges. If you are going something like this today, there is great hope for you to encounter in God’s presence. Don’t give up, continue to pray and ask God how I can experience presence, your power to overcome depression in my life and your light in midst of darkness. Give me the grace to see beyond what meets my natural eyes. As you pray this today, God will open up your eyes and you will see and experience His presence and Submit yourself to Him you will see what God has deposited in your spirit.
God bless you.
