Good morning!

A day to receive favour from the Lord and to depend upon the Lord and receive everything we need to sustain. In this season, let us understand that God is our primary source of providence.

In the Bible, serious trouble developed in Ephesus concerning The Way – Christian Religion. It began with a silversmith who had a large business and employed various craftsmen. He brings all of them together and addresses how their wealth is from their business. And he was concerned about how Paul was bringing in ‘The Way’ by which people had stopped buying handmade Gods. They made a livelihood of selling idols. After Paul preaches about the Gospel, it brings about panic among the craftsmen. They are trying to raise a riot against it.

Often, we will be presented with an opportunity to trust God for our provision or to trust our own abilities, creativity, talents and qualifications. We can be talented, creative but it can never be our idol.

When we give the work of our hands, excessive attention it becomes the idol we trust in. Share on X

Our business, career can be our idols. We need to realise that our primary source is not our abilities but God.

The craftsmen became violent because they thought they had nothing to do. When we trust our own work and it doesn’t work, we begin to be violent and blaming.

Let us trust God as if we please Him it will be a blessing!

You will not lack any good thing as you are a child of God!
