The Mercy We Show

Good Morning & Greetings in Jesus name!
He wants us to grow in a wholesome attitude, in a Christ-like attitude; that we become His hands, feet, love, and compassion to the people around us. The more we act like ourselves, the more we are confirming the image of Adam. The more we act like Jesus, the more we act like the scriptures tell us to, the more we allow the Holy Spirit to change our attitude on a daily basis; the more we represent the last Adam – Jesus himself.
Come into the place of representing Jesus in all your relationships. There are eternal benefits for a child of God who behaves and relates like Jesus. The Apostle James tells us in James 2:13, ‘There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others.’The Bible is making a clear cut principle that we will be judged by on the last day. It says that when we are expecting mercy from God for our sins, our relationships, our finances, and if we have not shown mercy to others, we will not receive mercy ourselves; no matter how much we believe in Jesus, no matter how much you love Jesus, no matter how much church you have been to, no matter how much you have spoken in tongues, the Bible is clear – if you do not show mercy to others, then you are unqualified for mercy from God.
It says if you have been merciful, then God will be merciful to you when He judges you. While we live here on earth, we have this wonderful opportunity to show mercy to the people around us.
Mercy is not given to a person who deserves to be shown mercy. Mercy is shown to a person who has been bad, has broken your trust, has gone beyond and have hurt you physically, sexually and spiritually, has manipulated you, killed the child inside of you, but today the Lord is telling you to show mercy to them.
Mercy means to forgive them from the bottom of your heart and to love them the way Jesus loves them, love them the way God wants you to love them, just open your heart and allow the love of Jesus to flow through your heart into their heart, into their lives and circumstances. If you do not do that and forgive them, then it will be very hard for you to receive the forgiveness that God is offering you.
When we can’t offer forgiveness when we can’t pardon others.
In Jesus’ teachings, explaining in detail, that if you don’t forgive the sins of others, then your sins will not be forgiven, that’s why He mentioned it in the Lord’s prayer, ‘Forgive us, our sins as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us’; which means to the same extent that I extend forgiven others, please forgive me too.
On multiple occasions, Jesus would quote parables, and stories of how important forgiveness is, how important it is to show mercy to others. When we read and study the book of James, we will see this constant importance and significance given to the actions, the work that you do to show off your faith, to show your trust in the Lord and here he comes to say that all of us are going to be judged by the law that sets us free. The only thing that will benefit you that day is how much mercy you have shown to others. When you have a revelation of how much God loves you, if you have a revelation of how much your sins are forgiven, if you have a revelation of the power in the blood of Jesus that washes away the weirdest and hardest stains of sins in your life, then you need to use that same grace, that same mercy to now show love to others, to show mercy to others.
Today, for the next few seconds, the Lord is going to remind you of people that you need to pardon and release from your spirit this morning, some of them may not be in touch with you, but you still need to release them from your heart, you need to stop accusing them in your head, you need to stop going back to the hurt they have caused you in your heart, you have to stop telling people how painful this has been. Today, the Lord is giving you the grace to show mercy to others.
Prayer: Thank you Holy Spirit, for your sweet presence in this conversation. Let your children receive complete freedom as they extend mercy to others, let mercy come seeking them, let mercy be shown in their marriages, let mercy be shown in their ministries, let mercy be released over their finances. What they don’t deserve, let it be released unto them in Jesus mighty name.
Thank you Holy Spirit, for bringing us God’s love, God’s word and God’s heart, in Jesus name we pray. Amen
