I Must Die

Transcript:
When people of God want to serve Him, live for Him, fulfil the plans and purposes of God in this generation, family, nation, etc., the enemy will work day and night against them and try to steal and destroy their peace and faithfulness to the mission. He will even try to kill them and their relationships during the journey. That is why one should sometimes launch a preemptive strike. One should go ahead, pray, fast and seek the heart and mind of God for his/her life.
The Bible says in Esther 4:16 (NLT),
“Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.”
Esther didn’t wait for the day she and her entire family was murdered. As soon as she heard that the enemy was trying to do something, she took action. She sent a word through Mordecai to all the Jews remaining in the capital to fast and pray for her; not for Haman, or the king, or for the Jews but for herself. Queen Esther believed in the purposes that God had placed in her life when she was anointed as the queen. She trusted the ways and plans of God but still didn’t take it for granted. She gave them detailed instructions on how to fast and how long to fast. She also told them that she will also do the same along with her maids. She was not placing a burden on someone else that she herself was not going to bear.
Wherever you are today, you are not there by accident. It is not because you liked this career or church or city. It is not by mistake or by chance; there is a divine plan and purpose of God for you to be planted in this place. So it’s necessary for you to pray, fast and seek the heart of God so that the plans of God for you will not be thwarted, aborted, stolen or killed; that you may stay and persist in the place where God can use you, multiply you, sharpen your weapons, sharpen your eyes and productivity, and God can use you for His glory.
Esther was about to do something that was not allowed or spoken of; it was against the law. The previous queen did an unlawful thing and she was banished and dethroned. Esther was going to do an unlawful thing for the sake of the people with the backup of all their prayers and fasting. So she was confident in breaking the law for this sake but she was still ready to die for it. She was ready to lay her life for the plan of God. In the previous verses, Mordecai reminded her that perhaps for a time like that God had placed her there. She was not willing to sit back, relax and take it easy. She was willing to do whatever it takes for the plan of God to not get thwarted.
To know the heart and mind of God for your life, one should pray, fast and seek Him. Share on XAs you listen to me today, there is a freshness coming to your heart that is reviving you so that you can pursue the plans of God for your life one more time so that you don’t take it easy anymore or take for granted that God will use you. Be willing to fast for it, fight for it, pray and stand in the gap for it, to raise people around you who will stand and pray for the will of God in your life. I pray this word will encourage and bless you.
