The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it. – Proverbs 29:7 KJV

Transcript

This week my prayer is that we will be constantly be receptive to the Lord and be changed, and our heart will grow more and more like the heart of God.

We have to think like Jesus, begin to feel and have emotions like Jesus has towards his people.

Proverbs 29:7 says, “The righteous considereth the cause of the poor; but the wicked regardeth not to know it.”

The difference between the righteous are the ones who have patterned their minds and heart after God helped by rhe Spirit of God. There is a spirit infusion that is taking place.

The Bible defines the righteous person as someone who received the righteousness of God in their mind and heart and this involves our emotions. This scripture says that the righteous, they consider the cause of the poor, meaning that when they see poor and broken people around them, they consider the cause of the poor. Truth be spoken, this person may not always have resources to solve the issues of the poor but the thing is, his heart still considers the poor.

When you meet your maid, whose children needs to go to school, your heart will begin to consider their cause. When you meet your laundry person, you realize that they have a need, like they have a new born baby at home or any other challenge, then you will consider their need and find a solution for it. You wont walk away from it and the reason is that because God doesn’t like poverty.

Poverty is a curse to humanity; God does not want his people to live in poverty, so a righteous person with the revelation of the heart of God, will now consider the poor, functioning like his Father in heaven. His heart will resonate with the heart of God.

All of us admire how Jesus healed the sick, resurrected the dead or cleansed the lepers but what we fail to understand is there was a deep compassion within the heart of Jesus. When Jesus would see sick or hurting people, when he would see Lazarus, his heart would weep, break and he would cry when he would express how he is feeling, resulting in power to heal, raise the dead and cast out demons.

So when you consider the cause of the poor, resources will also come to you, when I prayed for people’s needs, God would bless me financially so that I would be the answer to the prayer. That’s going to happen to you today, if you are going to consider cause of the poor, then resources will come to you, but the flipside, the wicked not know it.
The wicked do not want to be associated with certain kind of people but I believe you are not those kinds of people. You are filled with the presence, the heart of God and revelation of what God wants to do with his children.

Today as you walk with God, may your heat and mind consider the cause of the poor. May your mind consider the need of theirs, may your dreams, may your mind consider all that they need. Let’s pray.
