Good morning and greetings in Jesus’ name. It is very important that we understand when God is speaking to us and when the enemy is tyring to sow a seed in our minds. It’s primarily by constant lies sowed into our head by the enemy that he tries to divide our relationship with God.
Jesus encounters a similar voice in Matthew 16:23, he turned around to Peter and said, “Satan, go away from me! The Bible says Jesus heard the voice of his dear friend, his trusted member and made this statement. Please understand, Peter had a revelation from heaven, he had encounters with Jesus on the mount of transfiguration, saw the dead raised, and walked on water. There was absolutely no doubt he loves, believes and follows Jesus, that he is actually a disciple of Jesus and yet, at this point, he was doing something that was causing Jesus to hear the voice of the enemy.
Now when we think of satan speaking to us, we are thinking of something very evil, demonic or something that is going to cause us to hurt everything and everybody and destroy the whole world and set the entire planet on fire, yet let’s understand what did Peter say and do that Jesus heard that and said “this is demonic, this is satanic”. Lets read on, it says “I must obey God”. The voice of Peter was such that it caused Jesus to want to disobey God, his Father and that is how he understood it was demonic. It could be Peter who was speaking, it could be a good intention he was saying, it could be a family member, a church member or a dear spouse, whoever it may be, if he is inspiring me against God, then that voice automatically is inspired by demons, or satan.
Jesus goes on to say “I must be obeying God but you are trying to stop me” so a satanic voice always tries to stop the move or the work of God. When God wants us to do something about our life, if there are voices standing in the way, then those voices are inspired by satan, not because those people are bad; they might be good or anointed or have a revelation from heaven, and still if they are actually tying to stop what God wants, then it can be used by the enemy to continue to hurt you.
Every thought that does not come from God is satanic or demonic, there are no neutral thoughts or neutral ground, nothing in between. Either you’re speaking and doing things of heaven or you’re speaking things inspired by satan. Jesus continues to say, if your thinking is not from heaven or according to what God wants you to think, your thinking is like ordinary human beings. Ordinary human beings, can be hijacked by their needs or people around them, do you know what Jesus calls that? It is demonic, it is satan. So today, become very alert in trying to figure out those voices in our lives that are demonic in nature, trying to stop the work of God and doesn’t bring heavenly or Godly thoughts.
