The Lord wants us to overcome every giant in our way and have a victor’s attitude. Let’s look at James 5:13 – “Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises.”
There are two scenarios here, there are people suffering in one, and in the other group, who are singing praise and prayers. The Bible says, even if we don’t have our problems sorted or even if we are in a place where there are challenges, we have to pray. In pursuit of greater victories, there are sufferings, when we are about to give up or don’t have other options, we need to pray more. When Jesus was about to be crucified, he was drained, yet he chose to pray and talk to the Father, opening up his heart to the Father.
The Bible says, angels from heaven came to help him. As some of us pray for our problems, there will be angelic assistance for our needs. Prayer is a communication portal between heaven and earth, a ladder that causes angels to ascend and descend to heaven.
If we have joy, a blessing in our heart, find a way to articulate it in our songs. Go all out in praises and make it a part and parcel of our life. When the disciples were happy, as they were able to drive out demons, Jesus told them to be happy because, their names are written in heaven instead. We have the same reason to celebrate today. Let’s take some time to sing the goodness of our Lord today.
