The Lord wants us to enjoy our lives in abundance. The Bible says in 1 Peter 1:4, when we are born into the family of God, we are not only born into a relationship but also, into an eternal inheritance. It is an imperishable and indestructible inheritance. There are several inheritance we receive from our earthly parents that can be defiled and it can fade away but, the inheritance that God wants us to have is undefiled and unfading. It is reserved for us and has our name on it. The only way to receive this inheritance is by being a child of God. We just have to live out our lifes in our identity for the rest of our lives. We don’t have to live as a victim where we depend on people’s mercy. It is only a matter of understanding, how to tap into this eternal inheritance stored for us in heaven even when we are living on earth.
Jesus prayed this prayer ‘Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven’, which means if there is an inheritance kept for us in heaven, we can receive it here on earth as well. We can use our inheritance to serve people and the purposes of God. We must live our lives with fullness, as a victor, knowing that we have immeasurable resources at our disposal.
