History Making Instruction
Mark 2:12 (NLT)
“And the man jumped up, grabbed his mat, and walked out through the stunned onlookers. They were all amazed and praised God, exclaiming, “We’ve never seen anything like this before!””

God often speaks before we see any visible change. In Mark 2, Jesus told a paralyzed man to “Get up, take your mat and walk.” The miracle was released through the man’s response to Christ’s word. The instruction itself carried the power, strength, and grace needed for him to obey. His healing followed his faith-filled obedience.
Many of us feel permanently limited by past failures, weaknesses, or impossible situations. Yet God’s word calls us beyond those limitations. We may feel incapable, but His instructions are never empty—they always come with the ability to accomplish what He asks. Instead of waiting until we feel ready, we are invited to trust His voice and take the first step in faith.
The mat that once carried the man became something he carried. Likewise, God does not want us to make our brokenness, fear, or past struggles our identity. He calls us to leave them behind and walk in the new life He has prepared. Our obedience can become a testimony that causes others to glorify God, as they witness His transforming power at work in our lives.
