They Told Jesus
Mark 1:30-31 NLT
Now Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away. So he went to her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them.

Jesus is the one name who claimed to be God, and He is the one name that bring answers to every area of our lives. One of the best proof that He is indeed God, was the number of miracles He did. Jesus said in John 14:11 that we should at least see the works that He has done and end up believing in Him.
Jesus did a lot of works when He was on earth. Many miracles, healings, signs and wonders, the teachings, the authority He exercised. Everybody that witnessed Jesus’ ministry were left speechless.
In this particular scripture we see about Simon’s (Peter) mother in law being healed. The bible says as soon as they got to know that Peter’s mother in law is unwell, they told Jesus. Are you willing to bring your problems, worries, challenges and issues to the feet of Jesus as soon as you get into the trouble? They didn’t shy away from bringing the issue to Jesus.
Jesus empathised with Peter’s mother in law by sitting next to her. We don’t have a jesus who cannot understand what we are going through. We have a high priest who understands all our weaknesses, our sins, and our struggles. (Hebrews 4:15) Wherever in life you are at right now, if you are willing to talk to Jesus, He is going to come and comfort you in whatever place you are at right now.
The next thing that Jesus did was to help her sit up. He probably pushed her up. When you are sick, its a natural tendency that we have to just lie back and relax. However, we see that Jesus pushed her out of her comfort zone so that she could be healed. If you want to experience your breakthrough today, be prepared to allow Jesus to take you out of what is convenient for you and take you to a place of stretching beyond your natural abilities and into divine possibilities.
And then, immediately Simon’s mother in law was healed. When we yield to the stretching that God brings in our lives, we will receive the healing God has prepared for us. We also see that she prepared a meal for Jesus.
