All In Vain

Sometimes when we inspect and evaluate our circumstances, we feel that everything that we have been doing is in vain. We think this way because our perspective is very limited. There is only one way that we can experience beyond what we hear, and that is by going into the presence of God and hearing what He has to say.

The psalmist in 73:13 says, is feeling miserable and saying that though he has kept his heart and hands clean, it is all in vain, as his expectation was that it had to go well with his life, family etc because he has kept himself clean while comparing his life with the world where everyone lived thier life as they want and thier life was still well.

Some of you may feel the same. You might be feeling the same about your giving when you haven’t seen any results or may be in your marriage or even in your business, thinking this is going no where inspite of you living with God’s standard in it, but when the psalmist says that when he went into the presence of God, it is then he understood God’s perspective. Only in the presence of God, He will reveal His mind to you.

If we keep ourselves clean for a benefit, for a quick and temporary result and not to honour and glorify God, we will always end up disappointed. The enemy is always going to test you from every doors to see if you are not serious about God and give up soon and disconnect you from the source of your blessing. There is always a voice that you hear against God’s plan for your life. It was Job’s wife who advised him to curse God and die.

But as a child of God, you don’t give up, let you anchor go deep into God’s love for you.

The book of Romans says, does this mean that God doesn’t love us when we go through different kinds of problems and calamities, no, in spite of all these things overwhelming victory is ours through Christ Jesus who loved us.

Today draw near to His presence, come into His sanctuary and may the Lord reveal His plans, His purposes and His desires in a fresh and a new way.
