Divine Partnerships
And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the Lord will work for us: for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few. – 1 Samuel 14:6 (KJV)

Good Morning and greetings in Jesus’ name! Welcome to this amazing new week that the Lord has blessed us with.
Today, let us journey on, to understand everything that is possible because of the anointing that we carry. When we come to an agreement with someone else who understands, submits, and partners with the anointing that we have, there is absolutely nothing on earth that is impossible for us. Jesus said, ‘If two on earth agree on one thing, or they pray or declare or ask the heavenly Father, it shall be done to them.’ It is our lack of agreement and understanding of what we carry that causes us to live defeated lives, but this morning it is about to change.
Let me read 1 Samuel 14:6, Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, “Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the LORD will act on our behalf. Nothing can hinder the LORD from saving, whether by many or by few.” There were a lot of people who were in Saul’s army, and all of Israel was representing the army of Saul, but there was only one young man, Jonathan could speak to, and he called him and started speaking to him and imparting his vision, desire, and ambition to this young armor-bearer.
Now, this guy was not really a well-trained or well-known warrior in the land, he was just an ordinary armor-bearer, there is nothing special mentioned about him except the fact that he used to serve Jonathan. It says when Jonathan tells him,‘ Come and let’s go out of the box and do something we have never done before, this young man as much as he was inexperienced or didn’t have the qualifications, said, ‘Yes, let’s do it.’
And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armor, ‘Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the Lord will work for us: for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few.’
What a vision statement, Jonathan is telling this young guy!
He is asking him to join along with Jonathan, to go into the enemy’s camp. Now, I understand if someone has the backing of an entire army, which they did have, but they were not willing to take the entire army. these were the only two people who were planning to do something extremely unthinkable. They were planning to go completely by themselves into the enemy’s camp and Jonathan was trying to convince his armor bearer to come along with him.
Jonathan knew he would not be able to go all alone in the battle, and if he were to win this battle, he would need his armor-bearer. Technically and logically speaking, this was a defeated battle he will not be able to come out victorious but then he begins to rationalize his decision by saying that he wasn’t fighting the battle in his strength, he was fighting it in God’s strength and it is not a restraint to God the fact that there were less or few people. God can give the same victory with a lot of people and the same victory even with few people, and that is the reasoning with which they entered into the enemies camp and the rest is history.
God routed the enemy before them and that day, Saul had a massive victory over the Philistine army because of this courageous step Jonathan and his armor-bearer took. This morning I am believing that the Lord will give you a conviction to partner with someone else, to agree with someone else in their vision and perspective. Now, we all need a Jonathan and an armor-bearer, we will need somebody who will speak vision into our lives and we all need to have that level of agreement and submission to someone else who is a visionary, who sees beyond the ten steps that we are walking in.
If God can find partnerships like this in the church, then there can be absolutely nothing that is impossible for God. I would like to re-read what Jonathan told the young armor-bearer, ‘Is it a restraint on the Lord to save by many or by few?’
It is not a restraint for the Lord, it is not a condition given by the Lord, and God is not restrained by many or by few.
All that He is looking for is a man/ woman who has faith, who will partner with someone else, who has a similar faith and we can take down an entire army in Jesus’ name.
Today, I pray that the Lord will reveal to you who will be your partner in taking down giants and in taking down Philistines. I want you to text that person today and tell them, will you agree with me? If you don’t have anyone, connect with us on the Telegram channel and make friends who can agree with you, tell them that this is the giant I am facing, this is the dream I have, and will you agree and pray with me every day?
Although Jonathan and the armor-bearer fought the battle, the credit went to Jonathan, and that’s absolutely alright, we are not doing this for the credit or benefit or blessing that comes because of this victory. We are doing this because we are men and women of faith. We don’t live by sight, we live by faith and our faith is powerful enough to conquer mountains and territories and overthrow kingdoms in the mighty name of Jesus.
Prayer: Father, this morning I pray that there will be divine partnerships, there will be birth all over this place, wherever your children are listening, there will be divine partnerships between different kinds of anointing, different kinds of grace that will come together to form an alliance, that will defeat the enemy at the root level, at the most basic level. We thank you for the testimonies that will come as a result of all these partnerships, in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!
