Build an Altar

by | Podcast

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭24‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)
““Build for me an altar made of earth, and offer your sacrifices to me—your burnt offerings and peace offerings, your sheep and goats, and your cattle. Build my altar wherever I cause my name to be remembered, and I will come to you and bless you.”

Based on Exodus 20:24, this message reminds us that true worship is not simply about songs, offerings, or outward expressions, but about presenting our entire lives to God. Just as God instructed Israel to build an altar from earth rather than gold or silver, He calls us to recognise the value of offering what we already have—our bodies, hands, dreams, desires, prayers, resources, and abilities. Our worship becomes meaningful when our lives are yielded and set apart for Him. Wherever God’s name is honoured, we are called to build an altar through the way we live and serve Him. As we intentionally surrender ourselves to God, we make room for His presence, His fire, and His blessing to rest upon our lives.
