The Reality of Death
Listen
Transcript:
The Lord is speaking to Daniel after a season of intense fasting, praying, waiting and receiving revelations of what is to come saying that his job on earth was done and there would be a time when the history of the entire world would come to an end but till then he had to go his way.
The reality of death for children of God is that when the enemy, diseases or life’s situations threaten us with death, we cannot be afraid. Apostle Paul said to live is Christ but to die is gain because to die meant he would now be with Jesus.
As God’s children, death is not a place where we cease to exist, it is not a place of problems trials or challenges. Truly, physically & humanly speaking death can be hard but when we walk out of that time we are caught up in, and enter into an eternal dimension, there is no limitation of time in that dimension. Instead we step into this eternal dimension where a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day and we do not get tired or exhausted waiting because the life to live after death is a more infinite, beautiful and purposeful one.
The rest that we are called to, does not only mean a rest for eternity but we will rise up again to be with Jesus and receive the inheritance that has been set aside for us.
So, when a child of God dies, it is not a painful thing for them though it might be for us but they are going to a place of rest.
Do not be afraid of death or let it be a threat, because the Lord has planned out our time here on earth.
Let us prepare ourselves, plan our lives and remain assured of this eternal security.
