Good morning and greetings in Jesus’ name! Believe, that the Lord has been revealing himself to us even when we are not actively pursuing Him. God is still speaking to us, revealing His plans and purposes for our lives. So often, we get overwhelmed with our pain, worries or anxiety, that we lose sight of the greatness and blessings He’s in store for us.
Let’s read from Job 36:16, where Eli speaks to Job on God’s behalf amidst his suffering. He says, God’s taking you to a land of blessing, where there is no longer going to be any distress and also, He is setting a table full of richness for you. But, in verse 17, Eli points to Job that his heart is consumed and obsessed with the judgement of the wicked, that he had lost sight of the plans and purpose of God in his life. He grew bitter and had started comparing his plight with that of others, as he was surrounded by so many people who had everything going well In their life. This act of comparison made Job miserable, as he kept himself obsessed with the godless people and the justice they would experience in the hand of God.
Today, let’s turn our focus to where God is leading us, instead of harboring offence in hearts, thinking of the judgement and the justice this world deserves. Let’s ponder on the good things Eli says God has prepared for us, distancing and disconnecting us from the sadness, the lack, the danger, and the distress. Never lose sight of God’s promises in times of suffering, hold on to His faithfulness over every fear and doubts. Share on X Let’s be obsessed with divine dreams and not with the world around; Let’s be obsessed with God’s plan for our lives.
