Galatians 5:16-17 (NLT)
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

Being Led by the Spirit
It is necessary for us to be led, guided and counselled by the Holy Spirit.
There are always two major forces in our life: the flesh (the carnal nature or the spirit of Adam) and the spirit of GOD (the nature that we received from JESUS when we were born again). These two natures are always at battle against each other.
The carnal nature:
• Wants things that are worldly
• May not always look like sin
• Are things that don’t require GOD’s presence or meets that Bible’s standards
The Spirit of GOD:
• One is led by the Holy Spirit
• Pleases the Holy Spirit
• Pleases JESUS and so pleases the FATHER
These two forces are opposite to each other. E.g. If your spirit wants to dance and worship, the flesh may want to sit and not be noticed. We can easily identify them.
To be led and guided by the Holy Spirit should be our prayer and not just filled by the Spirit.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
