Good morning and greeting’s in Jesus’ name.
Jesus is speaking in John 7:34 – “You will search for me but not find me. And you cannot go where I am going.” Jesus is giving a descriptive statement about His destiny and about who He is as a person. Jesus is addressing the teachers of religious laws, the Pharisees and saying that they will never be able to find Him. There was a certain arrogance that had corrupted the heart and mind of religious teachers. This is not true for a child of God. When we seek Jesus with all our heart we will find Him.
Jesus goes on to speak about the Pharisees that they cannot go where He is going; but for His disciples, Jesus said that He is going to the Father’s house to prepare a place for them so that they can come and live with Him for all eternity.
We need to surrender everything at the feet of Jesus. We don’t have to pursue Jesus in our own ways and our own wisdom. We need to surrender even our intellect and understanding in order to receive favor, grace, intellect and understanding from God for our lives.
It is impossible for someone who doesn't have a revelation of discipleship, to experience a personal and an intimate encounter with Jesus. Share on XWhen we surrender everything at the feet of Jesus, give up our pride, take up our cross and follow Him then we are transformed; we are changed in our identity. We become a follower of Jesus. A follower of Jesus, when they seek Jesus they find Him.
Prayer: Father we pray that you will give us the grace to humble our hearts, our minds, our prayers, our desires, our pursuit and lay it all down at the foot of the cross. That is where we find perfect rest. We give you the comple control so that you can lead us in your eternal ways. Amen.
