Greater Than Feelings
1 John 3:20 NLT
Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything.
There are several seasons of our life when we can be overwhelmed by guilt and feelings to the extent that we stop praying, going to church and stop fellow-shipping with people and that is the whole purpose of the devil to disconnect you from God.
But God says when you feel guilty, sinful, or even righteous go to Him and the more you go to Him and depend and reply on Him, you will see that His plans for you are greater than your struggles.
Can you look at all those feelings that you are going through today and declare that God is greater than them. If you begin to confess this truth over your life, the power that is behind this truth will begin to liberate you from every challenges you are facing in life.
God does not want you to be in bondage, but He has prepared and placed you for victory.
The Bible says we should come to God boldly because He is our advocate and our high priest, in everything He walks ahead of us and prepares a way for us. He also sent to us the Holy Spirit who will lead and guide us in all truth.
The only thing that can stop God from being in control is if you continue to control your own life.
Today if you are feeling guilty, dethrone your feelings and enthrone God, because god is greater than your feelings and He knows everything.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
