Series: Lifestyle of Faithfulness
Through the week we have been learning about ‘faithfulness’ and how necessary it is to build it, how God is faithful to reward us.
It is necessary to become serious about our faithfulness towards God, relationships we’re placed in, institution He has placed us in.
When we have loyalty, devotion and commitment it leads to a lifestyle of faithfulness.
God makes a promise in this verse about showing Himself faithful.
Question: Is faithfulness conditional? Is God not going to be faithful even if we are not faithful to Him? Ans: No, God does not stop being faithful. But we wouldn’t be able to experience the fullness of God’s faithfulness.
We stop receiving the benefits of the relation because of lack of integrity or loyalty towards it.
Hence, it is necessary to cultivate faithfulness in our lives so that we can experience God’s faithfulness.
It was not because God hated Ananias and Sapphira that they died, but they chose to disconnect from the love, faithfulness and grace God had offered them by lying.
Many times we position ourselves in the wrong way.
The book of Ruth explains instances where the men left Bethlehem and reached Moab. However, they died in Moab irrespective of prosperity in the land. As long as they were in Bethlehem, though there was famine, they did not die because they were positioned under the faithfulness of God.
When we position ourselves under God, we will experience His faithful towards us and He will raise us up!
