Refiner’s Fire
Malachi 3:3 HCSB
He will be like a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will present offerings to the Lord in righteousness.
Let us be aware of the coming of the Lord.
There will be a revival before the coming of the Lord. The end revival, we are all waiting for is when He comes down to manifest in a very personal and a tangible way among the church.
There are two kinds of rain, the former rain & latter rain. The later rain comes right before the harvest. Considering the second coming of Christ, as the latter rain is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, moves & signs of wonders of many people being saved. This will be the greatest revelation of Christ as of history. This is for the Kingdom of God to be established strongly on the earth. But, it is also to purify the bride preparing for the groom.
In this context, it talks about the coming of the Lord that He will come as a refiner’s fire. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is going to have a purifying effect on the church. Let us be hungry for the refiner’s fire. It is not pleasing to invite the fire because it is going to expose every wickedness and also consume them. The end result of the fire is going to make a pure worship.
The sons of Levi failed because they did not have a pure heart and had a different lifestyle.
If you have set apart yourself for Jesus, you will see the purifying presence to come and cleanse your heart and mind.
Let us allow Him to expose the wickedness in our lives and consume it from us and cleanse the thoughts of our mind & heart. Let us let the fire from the Holy Spirit fall upon us. The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to make us more like Jesus. We must be living sacrifices.
Let us receive the latter rain and purify ourselves as we wait upon the Lord.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
