Ephesians 5:3 GNT
“Since you are God’s people, it is not right that any matters of sexual immorality or indecency or greed should even be mentioned among you.”
God doesn’t expect us to have a form of religiosity about us but He expects us to share His nature and character. Ephesians 5:1 says that we have to be imitators of God.
There are several instructions that are given in Ephesians 5.
Verse 3 mentions: We are called to represent and characterise Him in His best possible way. To do this we have to abstain from every form of greed, indecency and sexual immorality so we can imitate Him in His fullness.
Apostle Paul is desiring a church where all these three things are not a part of the church, in fact he says that these things should not even be mentioned in the church.
Can we pray and ask God to give us the grace to avoid and overcome these three things in our lives?
Today, whichever area you are struggling with, the Lord is offering hope for everyone of us because He wants us to be His people.
