The verse Deuteronomy 9:27 NLT is a prayer by Moses. His benchmark was Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – the way they followed God, their faith and demonstration of courage and holiness.
Moses substitutes the sins and stubbornness of the people with God’s knowledge and recognition of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as friends and children of God.
We will all fail miserably if we had to tell God how holy and pure we are. But we can come to God and acknowledge the Person who has walked before us and lived a perfect and holy life. We can ask God to overlook our stubbornness and awful sin and to remember instead His Servant Jesus and what He did for us on the cross.
The bible says the day we get baptized, we are putting on Christ. When we put on Christ, God doesn’t see our brokenness and failure when He looks at us.
Ask God to overlook your stubbornness and remember instead what Jesus did for us on the cross; the sinless, spotless Lamb of God under whom we take cover.
If you have not yet invited Jesus into your life, to be the only God you are going to serve, we invite you to do so. Repent of your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart. Ask Him to help you overcome your sins and to be Lord and Savior of your life.

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
