Romans 10:9-10 NLT
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

This is important for new believers as well as experienced believers. These things will lay the foundations in our life.
We have to believe in our heart. Openly declare that Jesus is Lord of our life and that God has raised him from dead.
There are 2 elements for salvation –
1 – What we believe in our heart.
2 – What we openly declare loudly for people to see and experience.
Both of these are necessary.
⁃ Any actions that is not on the foundation of real faith is dead.
⁃ Any faith that does not consecutively lead us into actions is also dead.
Which means just our belief is not enough but we also need to start openly declaring our faith. But it all begins with our heart, when there is a transformation in our heart, we automatically start seeing change in our behaviours, how we treat people around us, how we react to things.
In our heart we give Jesus the position of Lord, when we do this we dethrone all others things or people we had made lord in our life, including ourselves that has been ruling our lives and we put our entire trust and faith in Jesus.
However it’s not just enough to believe in our heart but it also requires us to openly declare our faith to people in one way or another.
Bible says those who believe in Lord Jesus are saved. But, we should declare our faith as well, voice it out with people, at your work and with your friends. One of the ways that’s often overlooked is baptism.
The disciples preached – repent of your sins, believe in the Lord Jesus and be baptised for the forgiveness of your sins and then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We must get baptised, declare our faith in the church. It’s not enough to just be part of a church or serve the church but openly declare that Jesus is Lord in our life, with baptism.
It is by believing in our heart that we are made right with God and by openly declaring our faith we are saved.
The foundation of all of it is to believe and we will surely fail or fall apart if we do not lay this foundation in our life.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
