Blessings Accompanied
Colossians 1:6 GNT
“The gospel keeps bringing blessings and is spreading throughout the world, just as it has among you ever since the day you first heard about the grace of God and came to know it as it really is.”
Today we will talk about the power of God’s word and the power of the good news.
When the word of God comes to nations, it has a tendency to bring blessings along with it. It doesn’t come empty handed, it comes with natural result of us receiving the gospel, we automatically inherit these additional blessings of the gospel.
The root of the gospel is that we can be saved, our sins washed away and our life renewed, our old ways can be changed by the power of Jesus.
However, there are several blessings that the gospel brings which you’d receive by receiving the gospel:
⁃ financial blessings
⁃ healing
⁃ consequences of sin gets removed
⁃ restoration
Let’s declare this over our lives, these blessings and what the gospel brings.
Nations that declare the gospel in their nation, and accept the gospel, their nations flourish and they experience abundance. We can also see the opposite being true, wherever the gospel is being rejected that place would experience poverty and lack.
Don’t walk with Jesus just so we can experience the blessing, but as a natural result of walking with Jesus, our problems will get solved and we’ll be restored.
What Jesus has done for us is eternal and has a huge impact on the way we live our life here on earth.
Today, I pray that you would know the gospel as it really is and experience the fruit of it!
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
