For you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.

Series: Share Jesus
Paul calls the church at Philippi his partners. The church had sent financial support while traveling, honoured, and ministered to him so he could focus on the teaching of the Word of God.
Paul had a secular job. He didn’t resort to receive gifts when in Corinth. But he did encourage the churches to support ministers so the work of Christ is made easier for them.
Partnering is not necessarily a financial one. It can be just helping the workers of Christ in simple things like translation and transcription.
When you partner with a man/woman of God to help them, you work together and so get the same reward as them, even though it’s not the same work you do as them.
Find someone whom you can partner with, and complement them in their ability and willingness to preach the Gospel.
On the day of Pentecost, even though Peter was the only one who preached, all the disciples stood with him. Even the senior disciples like John and James willingly submitted humbly to partner with the one being used by God at that time.
We need to not focus on who gets the credit but on whose name gets proclaimed to the ends of the earth.
