Receive the Holy Spirit

Dec 2, 2019 | Evangelism

The gospel is incomplete without the Holy Spirit.

  • The first ever evangelistic conference was the Holy Spirit Conference too.
  • When Peter introduced the idea of getting saved, he said – repent, be baptized in Jesus name for the forgiveness of sins and then you will receive the Holy Spirit.
  • The reason we need to be saved is for the Holy Spirit to fill us.
  • We are not completely saved if we don’t have the Holy Spirit living inside of us.
  • When we accept Jesus ‘the person of the Holy Spirit’ comes and dwells within our hearts.
  • The Bible says: Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
  • There are times we grieve the Holy Spirit due to our ignorance.
  • We don’t get saved to go to heaven or accept Jesus to become a Christian, rather we do this for the Holy Spirit to dwell inside us.
  • The Holy Spirit helps us to have a relationship with Jesus.
  • The Holy Spirit helps us get a revelation.
  • The Holy Spirit prays through us, in us, for us when we don’t know how to pray.
  • It is the Holy Spirit that helps us know Jesus and the Father’s heart.

If you desire to be filled by the Holy Spirit reach out to the Lord right away!

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.

The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.

God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.

The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
