As compared to justification by grace through faith, the Word talks about redemption as the way of salvation.
Redemption happened due to a price that was paid.
Blood signifies life. Therefore, the price to redeem a soul is blood, because the life of a living thing is in the blood.
Jesus came as a baby, incarnated as a human, born of a human. He not only wore human nature but also bore it in the mind. He chose to be limited as a human being.
We become slaves to the enemy when we chose to obey the enemy. When on the cross Jesus spilled His blood, by the blood of his earthly life He could buy freedom back from the enemy.
God didn’t buy us back with perishables like gold or silver but by the precious blood of Jesus who was the sinless, spotless lamb of God.
Redemption is permanent. You’re never going back again. Your sins were washed away by the blood of Jesus.
This blood fills you with new things from the place of being empty. You have everything required for godliness.
Jesus bought our freedom. Jesus didn’t die for just forgiveness but also so that the power of sin can be broken. As you put your faith in God, all the generational and circumstantial bondages you may have inherited or been a part of is negated.
