Voice in the Wilderness

For this is he that was spoken of through Isaiah the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight.

Here’s a context where the scripture talks about John the baptist as “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make His paths straight.”, this was prophesied by Isaiah.
In the current time and age we are the forerunners before The Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We are the ones who are called to prepare the way for Him.
Our primary calling is to be a voice in the wilderness. God calls us a voice.
There’s nothing wrong about claiming our titles as apostles or prophets, But, we receive our identity in the presence of God.
When God calls us, He calls us as a ‘voice’ without a name, head-weight, complications, conditions, etc. When we look at lives around us, we understand that the people are living in a wilderness that is dry, empty and without hope.
One thing that would convert the wilderness into a pasture land and harvest is ‘the voice’.
A question to ponder: Does your life have a voice?
If yes, what is the life speaking about? Does it prepare the way for the Lord? Does it make His path straight or makes it difficult for Him to come back?
Let’s make this our prayer, that our voices will resound and impact a generation. It will attract people to the Lord, convert walls into bridges in Jesus name!
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
