Welcome and Love Jesus!
2 Thessalonians 2:10 GNT
“and use every kind of wicked deceit on those who will perish. They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved.”
The world around us is in the pursuit of stealing our time, money, relationships or value systems. The world we live in is programmed to take things out of us.
Why don’t we recognize/realize that?
Everyone that born into this world are slaves to the sin that we are born into, that makes us slaves to the system of this world. Because of which we are unable to see all that God has in store for us.
In 2 Thessalonians 2:10, the scripture talks particularly about a group of people who would perish. However, that is not the will of God.
How do we understand, who are the people that will perish?
When we are subjected to deceit, spoken lies to, manipulated or controlled thereby having no power to make our choices and decisions causing us to live a lifestyle of deceit, the Bible says it would cause us to perish.
Before we received Jesus, we were deceived by the lies of the enemy. When we came to Jesus, we encountered the truth. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life.” The truth has the power to set us free from every lie and deceit.
God calls us out of these lifestyles by putting our faith in Jesus. The verse continues to say, they will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved. It wasn’t that the people did not know the truth, but, they were so comfortable in their deception, they did not welcome or love the truth because of which they could not be saved.
Let us live a lifestyle by inviting Jesus to come and expose every lies spoken to us through many voices (parents, pastors, media).
However, there is one person who is true and authentic that is “Jesus”!
Prayer:
Lord, I want to spend the rest of my life loving You. I want to spend the rest of my life welcoming You. I want to spend the rest of my life receiving from You, having You turn my life around. I want to spend the rest of my life at Your feet.

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
