“Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”” – Matthew 8:5-7 NKJV

Good morning and Greetings in Jesus’ name. Welcome to this beautiful new morning.

I believe that you are experiencing the presence of God in your lives. Whatever we might be facing doesn’t matter when we have the assurance of His presence in our lives. His presence, provision, protection is all that we need in our life.

Mat 8:5,6,7 – “Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, ‘Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘I will come and heal him.’”

The centurion had the posture of humility when he came to Jesus, a posture of requesting Jesus and asking for help. He said that he has a servant who is very important to him. This was a time when servants were treated as slaves, they were hardly given enough wages and food; yet the centurion is pleading Jesus for his servant! The centurion was making sure that this servant be restored to good health. This shows that this servant was very important to the centurion. He is not obliged to pray and protect for him and yet he is out there praying and believing for a miracle for his servant.

The centurion was expressing a selfless faith. Not a faith for his own agenda, but a faith for someone is else!

This morning wherever you are, the Lord’s eye is going to and fro, searching for people with selfless faith, prayers, ambitions and pursuit of presence of Jesus. He is looking for people who are passionate in seeing people healed and restored and rejuvenated and revived in the presence of God. He is looking for people who are constantly in a hunt for hurting and broken people; he is looking for His representatives here on the earth.

Jesus was always on a hunt for broken people while He was here on the earth; as a body of Christ, we should also have the same pursuit and response to hurting and broken people.

Today our prayers need to go beyond our families and church communities; people whom we are physically and spiritually related too; and it is not that we make random prayers and stop with it, but we need to express our faith through those prayers.

The centurion began expressing his faith to Jesus. He began to put faith, action, revelation, his understanding on authority along with his action and prayer. Because of this he came back with breakthroughs.

Let’s pray:  We thank you for this revelation. We thank you for opening our eyes so that we may love the people you have entrusted us with. We thank you that selfless faith is rising. In Jesus name, Amen.
