Reaching Rehoboth

I believe that the Lord wants to bring a permanent solution in certain areas of our life. Now, the enemy is very persistent, he knows how to provoke us. He knows how to discourage us and knows how to bring event after event in a cyclical manner, and as a child of God, it is very natural for us to take our eyes of the Lord, of what He is speaking or doing in our lives, when the enemy is attacking us. But this morning, I am declaring that there is a permanency to what the Lord wants to release, a permanent solution to what the Lord wants to release in your home, your finances and your ministry. I’m taking you to the book of Genesis 26:22, “Abandoning that one, Isaac moved on and dug another well. This time there was no dispute over it, so Isaac named the place Rehoboth (which means ‘open space’), for he said, ‘At last the LORD has created enough space for us to prosper in this land.”
If you read the context it says there was a famine, wherever Issac dug a well, the inhabitants of the land claimed the land. They would have whatever reason or logical argument that they could bring, they would bring and claim what Issac and his people worked hard to dig and the Bible says that Issac did not loose his cool, become discouraged or say that “God is not for me”. He didn’t become discouraged or stop digging wells, stop serving God, his family or his serving his house, his family, his city or nation because what was rightfully his was stolen from him, he continued doing it. Now this is something that I would like to learn, sometimes we get discouraged when we do not see results. We’ve really worked hard for this and really prayed hard for this to come through and yet at the nick of time or when the time of the harvest is come through, the enemy comes and messes up everything. Here we see Isaac and his men didn’t get discouraged. Can you imagine going through the whole process of digging a well repeatedly? The Bible says the third time they dug a well, the inhabitants of the land didn’t come to fight for this well, because the first two times that he dug a well, they came and claimed those well and perhaps their thirsts, their wants got satisfied with the previous two wells and perhaps God was using these whole attacks, of the enemy, perhaps God was using all that Isaac was doing to bless that city and nation.
Truth be told, it is not because the people of that land never tried digging a well, it’s because they didn’t have the favor of God to find water. So when they saw somebody else was getting water, they went and claimed what they didn’t work hard for. So whenever somebody is trying to attack your life or trying to trying to steal from you, remember that they are doing it because they don’t have the Grace or favor, blessing and grace that you have, and don’t take it personally. This is just a sign that you are special, that God has given you a special grace to make things happen, so when something that belongs to you is taken away, something that is supposed to be given to you is not being given to you, remember that God has blessed you way beyond what the enemy can steal from you. if you think that God cannot bless you more than the enemy can steal from you, then I don’t think that this is Gods blessing, it will be your labor, talent or strength but when God begins to bless you, he will bless you beyond what the enemy can steal from you and even when the enemy steals from you, it will work out for your benefit, it will work out such a way that you will be known as a water provider for the entire city or entire nation. It is your wells that these people who didn’t have water to drink or would not have actually died or not survived this famine, are being fed because of what the enemy actually came and claimed what actually belonged to you.
When God begins to bless you, He will bless you beyond what the enemy can steal from you. Share on XThe Bible says Isaac finally reached a place where the enemy did not dispute what belongs to him. So this morning, I’m praying that your persistence, diligence, your continual submission to the will and plan of God to your life, will pay off at one point or the other. It may not be today or tomorrow, but it will definitely pay off. There is a permanent solution that God is bringing, which will stop cyclical attacks in your life. In Jesus’ name, I come against all the voices of discouragement in your head that tells you “it’s enough, I can’t do anymore, I can’t pray anymore or serve anymore”. Continue to do what the Lord has called you to do and at the right time, you will find your Rehoboth. Ask the Lord to give you persistence in Jesus’ name.
