“There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” – Proverbs 31:29
Transcript:

Today may be the last day of the year but it is also the beginning of a new era and season in each and every one of our lives. God is about to deliver something profound not just for you but they will begin to witness and testify that God is doing something extraordinary. Let us choose to remain humble when we receive praise from people around us. Let us also prepare our minds and stay focused. We talk about the woman in proverbs, Her children and her husband bless her and celebrate her and are appreciative of her. They are praising her and are recounting the things that she has been able to accomplish today the Lord is releasing that grace upon us and we shall experience testimonies, answers, solutions and things that we have never dreamt about.

In today’s scripture, we know that the virtuous woman was not the only woman who was capable and could do a lot of good things or was with character and hardworking. When we think that our praises and our appreciation is only going to be because of how good we are or how virtuous we are, then we are limiting the favour of God in our lives. There are many capable people in the world around us. These two things are basic and if we want to see divine fruitfulness in the year ahead then we have to pursue virtue and capability. Some of us are good at our heart but we are not excellent in our work, there are others who are great in our work.

For us to see fruitfulness in the year ahead, we have to pursue capabilities and virtue. Share on X

On the outside the capabilities are awesome but we may lack virtue. This season we need both virtue and capability. It is necessary to learn how to sit at the feet of Jesus and see that our heart is transformed and at the same time get better at what we do, Whether it be our relationships or work or commitments in church, we need to become excellent but there is an element in our lives that makes us surpass the capable and virtuous people in the world around us. There is a need to learn to compare ourselves with the right people. If someone has a lot of virtue but no capability then we shouldn’t have to settle for that and if another has a lot of capability and no virtue we shouldn’t compare ourselves with them. When we come across one who has both virtue and capabilities, then we need to stand alongside them, believing that God will grant us grace to learn from them and even surpass them.

Jesus told his disciples that one day they will surpass him and do a lot more than he did. It just means that the favour of God will help us multiply beyond what we have heard or seen in our past. There are many virtuous and capable people around us but we will surpass them all.
