Giving Himself Completely
Colossians 1:21-23 MSG
“You yourselves are a case study of what He does. At one time you all had your backs turned to God, thinking rebellious thoughts of Him, giving Him trouble every chance you got. But now, by giving Himself completely at the Cross, actually dying for you, Christ brought you over to God’s side and put your lives together, whole and holy in His presence. You don’t walk away from a gift like that! You stay grounded and steady in that bond of trust, constantly tuned in to the Message, careful not to be distracted or diverted. There is no other Message – just this one. Every creature under heaven gets this same Message. I, Paul, am a messenger of this Message.”

Colossians 1:21-23, is beautifully articulated by Paul on how Jesus brought us from where we were to where we are.
Your life is a testimony of what God has done and can do. It’s a case study of what He does. God is a God of love, mercy, grace and favor. He enjoys lavishing His love upon His children. He not only gave Himself completely for you, but He gave His own life up for your sake, so that He can buy you and bring you into God’s side and put your lives together.
Jesus died so that you are not only forgiven, but you can be whole and holy.
You are complete because Jesus died for you.
The way that we see ourselves is the way we will live. If we live thinking that it is in our hands to work out our future to still go to heaven, then we will never be able to do it. But if you have the belief and the understanding that, Jesus died not only to forgive our sins, but also to make us whole and holy then that perspective changes your mind. You will not be worried about what others think of you. You begin to think what you are to God. That’s when you begin to realize how valuable you are as a person and the way that you use your words, body, money and relationships changes. It all brings real eternal outcome. You no longer want to spend your life with something that doesn’t bring you value. Because, when Jesus died for your life, He believed that there’s some eternal value inside of you that is worth dying for and is of worth to purchase your entire life. When you believe that, you begin to realize that you are not loved because of what you do, but because Jesus loved you even when you were in the pit of sin. When you come to this knowledge, you would preach this message on the cross that Jesus died for you.
When you receive this gift of God, you don’t walk away from it. You bind yourself to it. You stay grounded. You will stay steady on it. You will not get diverted. I pray that this is how you will be able to live your life today.
Prayer:
“Father, I pray that the spirit of grace to come upon my friend’s. That they will have the earnest belief that they are loved and cared for from heaven. Even when disappointing things come and things that doesn’t glorify you happen in their life, we know that You still love them. I speak Your love upon their hearts and I declare that this week they will live a victorious life. In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen!”
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
