Each and every one of us has a destiny, a call of God upon our lives, upon our marriages, upon our parenting commitments. Truth be told, we begin well, we desire the right things and yet somewhere down the line we get corrupted, our desires get adulterated. The enemy tries to abort the vision that the Lord has placed upon our heart and then we tend to give up somewhere in the journey of pursuing the call of God over our lives. This day, the Lord is saying wherever we are in life, we are going to run our race until we reach our finishing point.

In 2 Chronicles 7:11, it says there are 2 projects that Solomon took up, one is to build a palace for the Lord and to build a palace for himself. The Bible says that king Solomon made sure to facilitate everything in a way that the Lord had showed him. Everything that was in his heart, every desire, every strategy that he had in his heart when he set out to build the temple of the Lord, he was able to finish and do it successfully to the last point. The point to note here is not just that he built the house of God successfully, he also built his own house very successfully, exactly according to how he had it in his heart. There were absolutely no discrepancies between the vision that he had and the fulfilment of the vision. He did not have to compromise, give up, just get used to a mediocre standard just because he could not afford or reach the end point. Everything that he wanted to do for his own house he did it successfully.

Can it be that the same grace can manifest for us today? Is it possible that we can walk in such level of favour, wisdom, divine provision and protection? None of us that depend on the Lord will fail. When we trust in our own selves, we can fail. When we trust in our own understanding, we can fail; however, if we trust in the Lord, we will not be put to shame, we will not have to turn back, we will not have to reach the end point without having completed what the Lord has committed to us.
