Complaining Scoundrels

Welcome to Another Day with Jesus!
The Lord is assuring us that we can experience victory and breakthrough another time. He is prepared a pathway for our deliverance. At times, God’s solution is not how we think of it. We have to be willing to admit and celebrate God’s blessing no matter who He uses.
In this context, Saul was the first King of Israel. He had just been crowned and anointed. And few people did not think that Saul was courageous to take up warfare. They thought he was under-qualified. They did not want to accept the help God had given them.
So often, we look at people who God blessed us with and think they are not the right fit. We tend to complain about our surroundings. The Bible calls them, ‘scoundrels’.
We think that we must respect Saul for his talents and abilities which is not true, but respect him for he has been anointed by God. David recognises Saul as the anointed one even though he was possessed by demons.
When we look at people God has blessed us in our surroundings, Do we look at them as they can help us? Or Do you see them that the Lord has sent them? They may not have all the skills but they are anointed by the Lord to help you in this season.
Don't respect God-given people for their talents and abilities but the anointing that the Lord has poured into their lives. Share on XThe people had scorn in their heart and they did not honour King Saul. They did not bring any gifts. In the Bible, it says that when you present a gift it brings harvest to you. When the whole of Israel celebrated the King, these scoundrels did not. This is an example of rebelling and not committing to your leader.
Eventually, it is the spirit of dishonour that would take their hearts which starts with a small seed of disbelief the blessing of the Lord. Saul ignored them, even after being told that we could kill them.
Let us recognise people God-given people in our life. Let us sow into them and honour them.
